FarmJam adds the popular and energetic sound of festival jam band to the lineup, The Wild Feathers. According to news sources, the band's first self-titled album ranked hit #1 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and then again at #109 on the Billboard 200. This popularity resulted in appearances on various television programs on CBS and other stations, as well as acclaim from major music publications. Unanimously, music critics praised their energy and sound. The Wild Feathers received accolades from Rolling Stone, New York Times, Huffington Post, USA Today, and countless others.
The FarmJam lineup is rounding out a variety of music from bands with original music. All of the bands are up and comers with a history of finding their own way in the business. They eventually inked a deal with Warner Bros. and found themselves opening shows for Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson. When The Wild Feathers hit #1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart, they appeared on CBS and ABC late night shows like Jimmy Kimmel, Conan O Brien, Seth Meyers, Craig Ferguson, and more.
According to the band's site, The Wild Feathers' sound is propelling them to be among the next great American rock ‘n’ roll bands. Members include: Ricky Young [guitar, vocals], Taylor Burns [guitar, vocals], Joel King [bass, vocals] and Ben Dumas [drums]. The group's Facebook Page says they spent more than two years on the road supporting their 2013 self-titled full-length album alongside greats like Bob Dylan and Gary Clark Jr.
As the band toured and grew, evolution of the band stayed on their minds while writing songs for what would become their 2016 sophomore effort, Lonely Is A Lifetime [Warner Bros. Records]. Lonely Is a Lifetime reflects a richer confluence of influences, while maintaining their signature soul and spirit to all that time on the road together. With more music to announce, the current lineup has Chase Rice will headline FarmJam and the festival will host Red Dirt Rangers, Blackfoot Gypsies, Casey Ryan, Devon Wade, Whitney Rose, Will Porter, Bryant Lamar, The Stylees, The Last Chance Band, and international talent, Blake Noble.
