FarmJam Thank You to The Fallen
Always Remembered, Never Forgotten

Memorial Day * All Gave Some * Some Gave All

The federal holiday, Memorial Day, is observed on the last Monday of May to honor the men and women who have died while serving in the military.

FarmJam is steeped in the major principles of freedom and the sacrifices that give rise to our independence.  The independent (or indie) and major bands slated to jam at the farm are the foundation of these principles.  Where else can a team of friends have the freedom and independence in our rural landscape to provide entertainment?

Sadly, research shows that more than 55% of Americans do not know or understand the importance of Memorial Day.  Some people even confuse Veteran’s Day with Memorial Day.

According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, the purpose of Memorial Day is to memorialize the veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.  We spend time remembering those who lost their lives and could not come home, reflecting on their service and why we have the luxury and freedoms that we enjoy today.

There are no words truly capable of capturing The Warrior’s Ethos or Soldier’s Creed.  All of us at FarmJam fall shy of expressing what is in our hearts right now.  So, we resolve to thank the fallen.

They paid the ultimate price and sacrifice up to and including their life.  To remember the fallen, we also honor and remember the spouses, the fathers, the mothers, the sons, the daughters, the sisters, the brothers, and the friends.

How do you honor the memory of our fallen veterans on Memorial Day? Join us on Facebook to share your traditions and stories.

We are forever grateful.  We will always remember these sacrifices.  All gave some.  Some gave all.  #freedom2jam #memorialday
